The Laurels Children's Day Nursery has been open since October 2005. We provide exceptionally high standards of childcare and early education for children aged 3 months to 5 years in our purpose built premises.
As well as having a wonderful environment for our younger children we also have a fantasic preschool! We believe that each child deserves the best possible start in life and the support to fulfill their potential. A child's experience in the early years has a major impact on their future. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important and when parents or carers chose a nursery or preschool they want the assurance that the provision will keep their children safe and support them to thrive. The government's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the framework which the nursery follows in order to provide that assurance.
We were inspected by Ofsted in June 2009 and received a 'Good' rating, saying "The nursery promotes all aspects of children's welfare and development effectively. Staff create a welcoming, inclusive environment where children are safe and well cared for. Strong partnerships with parents and outside agencies ensure that all children's needs are met. The nursery is committed to continual development and systems for self-assessment ensure that future improvements are well targeted and implemented."
Our premises has been designed with children in mind - from full height windows (so all children can see outside) to our specially designed garden - we have an enviromnent which suits all children.
We are open 52 weeks a year from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Early drop offs (from 7.30am) and late pick ups (until 6.30pm) are available and children can attend on a full or part time basis.
